Yamaha YD2 - YD3 airfilter

Sometimes you can use very modern parts for your old bike !!

My old Yamaha twins always run a little bit erratic. This is mainly due to the old gauze-type airfilter, which you have to immerse in machine oil. But the rubber cover has hardened of course, so the engine draws false air. Manipulating the choke helps a little during riding.

But when looking into the famous K&N catalogue I found one of their airfilters which is a perfect fit: K&N filter 62-1430 does the job and it looks very good indeed!

And it also fits very well under the carburettor covers as you can see. I am going to use this bike a lot this Springtime!
