But there is a little trick that works sometimes. Take for example the Yamaha DS6. This bike has an airfilter box that slides onto the batterycase and is then attached with a screw that also functions as "ground" for the battery. My DS6 had not run for 3 years so the carburetorslides were stuck into the bores of the carburetors. After re-assembly of the carburetors I slid the manifolds over the airfilterboxat an angle of about 45 degrees:
