Cor Oomen from the Netherlands has a very rare Yamaha FS1 5-speed motorcycle from 1970. Only 30 units were sold in the Netherlands. Probably the only surviving bike!

The Barber Museum in Alabama, USA, is often the place to visit if you want to see spectacular motorcycles, also Yamaha's of course. These shots are from a 2008 Show: Jim Crume added some nice period pictures of "King Kenny" himself with the bike.

Stan Nicholson from Ontario, Canada still rides his Yamaha TD2B from 1972 and proudly carries the Number 1# plate! Stan and his wife Pat visited us a few weeks ago and told me that the nice camper behind him is not his, but he would love to have it!

Rolf Fritzsche from Germany was very lucky. He found a very complete Yamaha AS-2 in untouched condition. A bit of cleaning and he has a perfect bike!
Mark Cowdery from England finally found a Yamaha YD1 250 cc in pretty good condition. It is much rarer than a Bugatti Veyron! And it is more than 50 years old!

This picture I just received from a true enthusiast, about him later. It is the most intrigueing picture i have ever seen. It "breathes" the atmosphere in those early Yamaha racing years in Japan.

George Taylor, who is 71 years young, went to Daytona for the 51st time !!!! But this was his first time as owner, so not as a rider. Read his fascinating diary! George added his boat-racing career and his ultimate achievement during the Daytona 2000 races!
