Yamaha XS1100 Martini 1979

One of the first major projects for big bikes was the XS1100 machine in "Martini" livery, produced in 1979.

The cowling was a developed by the well-known British designer John Mockett and the whole idea behind it came from my former colleague Paul Butler, then in charge of Product Planning at Yamaha Amsterdam, now Director of IRTA.

500 of these motorcycles were produced, so they are very classic and sought-after today.
