The Yamaha 0W15 125 ccm Worksbike was the successor of the YZ623 and was going to bring Yamaha 2 World Championships in the hands of Kent Andersson.

As said the machine was basically a further development of the latest YZ623, the "C" version, with a dry clutch, liquid cooling and a changed bore/stroke, now 44x41 mm.
