Hideo Kanaya Partnered with Jarno Saarinen in the eventful 1973 season and soon showed himself as a very outstanding rider. I personally liked him very much and still regret that because of the tragic circumstances he never had the chance to convince history about his qualities that season. And even I had forgotten that Kanaya-san already came to Europe in 1972 and won straightaway the opening round on the Nurburgring in Germany with his factory TD3 250 ccm.........! Our "official" Yamaha clothing were simple YMUS snowmobile jackets......, like Kanaya-San is wearing here.
