In August 1957 Yamaha contacted the Dutch motorcycle magazine "MOTOR".

This was the very first time that contact was made between Yamaha and Europe. As Yamaha was a rather small company at that time, the first communication was handled by Nippon Gakki (musical Instruments), the parent company. They of course were handling their products already since the end of the 19th Century...!
