Welcome to 'www.classicyams.com', the site dedicated to all classic YAMAHA racers and historic YAMAHA street/off-road bikes. This site is dedicated to the famous 2-strokes but the equally famous 4-strokes are also not forgotten!

Sitedesign is by Remko Visser, my successor at Yamaha Motor Europe, as a present when I retired from the company that touched my heart! You can view most pictures in large formate, just "click" them. Ludy Beumer

Week 30: Here are the detailed pictures of the AS1 machine, these will be followed by the YDS3 and the YDS2. A 1964 YF1 "wreck"and the Yamaha YF1 Brochure of 1965 ; also the YR1 Brochure of 1967. Design of the "sporty" Yamaha 50 cc models, the F5S and FS1.

Week 31: Dear readers, this week my wife and I have our friend Randy Hall from the USA visiting us, so I have little time for the website. I do hope you understand that, thanks!

Week 32: We had a nice week with Randy-San, yesterday we visited a remarkable place> www.laverdamuseum.nl (exit site by < !) Have a look yourself! As promised I do start now with the details of the Yamaha YDS3/YM1. Today I took some detail Yamaha YDS2 pictures.

Week 33: John LeBlanc found a very nice YL1 in his neighbour's shed! And Dave King acquired probably the most unique HL500 in the world! More fine details on the Yamaha YDS2. Mike Rush from California has always been a Motocross fan, he did a good buy in 1977! I made simple brackets for my TD1B for using a modern bike lift at the rear. My friend Jan Postmus sent these beautiful pictures of the last Yamaha TZ250 Petronas bike. And Carlos Crippa from Sao Paulo, Brazil, found a Yamaha TR3, needs much work onto it!

Week 34: Peter Abelmann sent 2 nice YR1 pictures. I am a little behind as I am busy in the bike shed. This week I have been riding the YD3-YDS2-YDT1-YDS3 ! Very sorry, I made nice new articles about Kenny Roberts, new TZ250's, YDT1 and YD3 details but I have problems with my website, will take some time to "repair" as Remko (my "webfather") is ill on the moment. Have patience, please!
