RD50's were sold in large quantities, also in Europe. But they were all driven to shreds by over enthusiastic young guys. You hardly ever find good examples.

Many people still regard the first generation RD's as the all time Yamaha Classics. I had one of these myself back in 1973 and covered 48.000 km before it needed just a rebore!
