Week 16: Finally most of the TZ250J parts are there, assembly can begin. The TZ250J gets its fresh pistons. A new long series about Yamaha Motorcycle Design. I start with the YA1 and YC1. Today I fitted the new cylinders on the TZ250J. The design of the Yamaha YD1. Today was a lovely day to be outside but I was busy in the workshop fitting the cylinderheads to the TZ250J...!
Week 17: The TZ250J carburetors are fitted and the radiator/hoses too. Design of the Yamaha YD1, 2 original pictures and the introduction from the YA2. And I have a very nice 1958 full-range Yamaha brochure that you should print for your collection ! (8 pages..!) Finally the TZ250J exhausts are fitted, the YPVS is checked and connected.
Week 18: Sorry for the slow start, but I was busy in the Workshop! Design and introduction of the YD2 and YD3. Finally the first list of Yamaha Spare Parts I will sell !! Cylinders-cyl.heads-pistons-pistonrings...! The second list contains crankshaft-gaskets-camshafts-connectingrods.
Week 19: For the collectors of old brochures here is a another very old (end 1961)"A Guide to Yamaha" brochure.
Week 20: Yamaha's design of the famous YA5/6 and YDS1 models.
